Maplewood Parent Prom

Yes! It’s true! The 4th Annual Maplewood Parent Prom is coming up February 9th, from 7pm-11pm at the Getaway Motor Club. Our theme this year is “The Awkward Years.”

Get you tickets here: http://maplewoodparentprom.eventbrite.com/

Let’s get together without kids and celebrate the fact that we were awkward, and possibly continue to feel awkward. Let the vulnerability in! It makes you a better dancer!

Music will be provided by the Recliners, featuring Maplewood Dad Neal Mehta, from 7pm-8pm and by DJ Girlfriend from 8pm – 11pm. There will be a photo booth and a killer silent auction, a cash bar and this year there will be food for sale!

If you want, you can send an awkward pic of yourself to MaplewoodParentProm@gmail.com. We’re going to have a giant screen where we show a slide show of our awkward photos. You know you want to be a part of that!

Big thanks to G&M Catering who will providing the food and drinks and donating the proceeds to Parent Prom!

This year we want as many people as possible to be able to come! For that reason, we are making the general admission tickets free or suggested donation, so as to remove the barrier of entry that a set ticket price creates. The suggested donation is $25 per ticket.

Team Awkward

We have however created a bunch of sponsorship levels under the label “Team Awkward.” These sponsorships will help defray the cost of Parent Prom. We hope you’ll consider joining the Team if you are able! Sponsorships are open to families or businesses.

By joining Team Awkward and sponsoring the event, you are providing other Maplewood families, teachers, and staff the opportunity to attend it. Team Awkward sponsorships also help the PTA cover the yearly costs associated with literacy support for the school and more.

Check out Team Awkward Sponsorship Levels below and join!
