Maplewood Elementary is host to a variety of after-school care programs. The programs below are held both onsite at Maplewood and off-site. All of the programs are available throughout the entire school year.
iKidsU is a new aftercare at Maplewood offering both full and part time aftercare options from 3:15-6:00pm. They also offer 5 exciting one-hour enrichment class options to choose from daily from 3:15-4:15pm for as little as $95 a month!

Creative Action provides after school care for K through 5th graders at Maplewood Monday through Friday afternoons until 6PM.
Creative Action After School engages students in fun, hands-on creative learning in filmmaking, music, puppetry, digital media, visual art, dance/movement, creative writing, and acting. Creativity classes are led by our expert Teaching Artists, all while expanding the development of social and emotional skills needed to become Creative Artists, Courageous Allies, Critical Thinkers, and Confident Leaders.
After School runs every day of the AISD calendar from the end of the school day until 6 p.m. Financial aid is available.

El programa de Después de la escuela de Creative Action, atrae estudiantes en un divertido aprendizaje práctico de cine, música, títeres,medios digitales,artes plásticas,baile/movimiento, escritura creativa y actuación.
Las clases creativas son dirigidas por nuestros expertos Maestros Artistas, todo mientras apoyan y expanden el desarrollo social y habilidades emocionales necesarias para convertirse en artistas creativos, amigos valientes, pensadores críticos y grandes líderes.
El programa Después de la escuela funciona todos los días de calendario de AISD, desde que se termina el horario de clases hasta las 6:00 pm.

Austin Parks and Recreation offer transportation directly from Maplewood to after school programs at two of their Recreation Centers: Hancock and Rosewood. Registration is required for the programs.
After school care is also offered by the Delores Duffy Recreation Center.
Austin Parks and Recreation centers also offer full-day camps and programs during many student holidays, including winter, spring, and summer break. Note that transportation is not provided for these special days.

Little Rams Soccer has started fall registration for after school soccer on site at Maplewood. This program is great for beginner or advanced skill level players as the class is broken up into age groups with different coaches on site. This class offers optional competition seasons in Fall and Spring, competing against local elementary schools. They will be meeting Tuesdays after school, 3:15 pm- 4:15 pm . The first day of class is Tuesday, September 7.

FilmKids is perfect for 3rd, 4th and 5th graders who want to take ideas from their imagination and see them come to life. They will work with professionals to write stories, make props and costumes, act and make a movie. They host a film festival at the end of year. All participants receive a DVD of their work to take home. Equipment and snacks provided!
FilmKids is held on Tuesdays 3:00 – 4:45 pm. The program started on September 18th and ran till December 18th. Location TBD (on campus) $325 – 12 sessions

ATX Ballers is an after school sports program onsite Mondays 3:10 pm -4:10 pm. They welcome all levels of experience and players are taught basketball fundamentals, skills, and participate in fun competitions and games. ATX Ballers’ coaches provide high-quality energetic basketball instruction to players in their specific grade-level groups. Starting November 1- December 13 they will have a track session.
